Our health & wellbeing is the absolute foundation to our success. But we often take it for granted. We will learn about the different types of energies and how they affect our health. We’ll then share the tactics for increasing these energies and build an accountability system amongst ourselves to follow through with our commitments. Haley from Manifeast Nutrition will also join us to talk about incorporating food into a healthy lifestyle.
Mindset + Mindfulness
Success starts within. What we say, do, and believe starts with our mindset, perspective, and worldview. We will discuss how our mindset affects our lives and learn how to use language to empower us. We will also start practicing mindfulness and get an introduction to meditation by Ben from Inner Alchemy.
Many of us struggle with effective goal-setting, time management, and discipline. But in order to excel in our personal and professional lives, these tools are absolutely critical. We will learn some of these skills used by performance management coaches and start to apply them throughout the program.
Purpose & Ikigai
We will ask the most important question: why? Why do we do the things that we do? We will discuss what purpose means to us, and how to discover/create it. We will look at where our interests align with our strengths, and how we can use this in a practical sense.
Community + Self-Compassion
A lack of self-compassion and a sense of community leads to isolation, loneliness, and mental health challenges. We will discover components of building meaningful community by looking into Brene Brown's studies of vulnerability and shame. We will also begin to practice and integrate self-compassion into our daily lives.
Non-Violent Communication + Interpersonal Effectiveness
Communication is the key to meaningful relationships, yet not many of us are great at it. We will learn to compassionately and effectively communicate to others and ourselves by addressing and acknowledging the role of needs and feelings. We will use the tools of non-violent communication and the interpersonal effectiveness module of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
Personal Branding + Networking
A resume can only tell so much about a person. Nowadays, connections and networks are what makes the difference in the professional world. We will create our personal brand and story. We will learn about the attitudes and language to effectively meet people and build genuine relationships. We will learn about the significance of story, genuineness, and eagerness in building these relationships.
We will end off the program by reflecting on the past 8 weeks and creating a plan for what we envision for the future. We will discuss the ways in which education and learning takes form and how to dedicate ourselves in self-growth.
